  1. Hi Abby,

Congrats on the courage to do this video pitch! I think you did great, and your personality really came through, especially when you launched into the premise of your story. Personally, I think it was a great touch to start off with your inspiration and how your own experiences have helped to shape what you wrote. Plus, the story itself seems like it’s filled with tons of conflictβ€”past loves, career integrity, the possibility of leaving a marriage. You should definitely continue to try doing Vlogs in the future! Well done and good luck! πŸ™‚

  2. Great job! It’s so hard to put yourself out there (I know!). You were so cute at the beginning when you talked about your inspiration for the book, and the plot definitely sounds like a fun read. Good luck!

  3. Great job!! The pitch videos where the writers took a more conversational tone seem most interesting to me. πŸ™‚ Good luck!! You know I love the plot of your book! πŸ™‚

  4. I think this is the only pitch where someone spoke about the inspiration for their book–and it really does add a ton to the video! It made the book seem very relatable. You did a good job introducing your characters, and the plot sounds interesting. : )

  5. Nice job! You seemed very real and conversational in this pitch, and presented it in an interesting way. I especially liked that you talked about the inspiration for witing it. Sounds like and excellent story! Good luck in the contest!

  6. This is such a fun pitch–I love that it’s based on your own experience! The only suggestion I might have is to spend more time talking about your book and less time talking about the inspiration for it. But, really, it was very fun as is–you have a great personality that comes out in the pitch. Good luck!

  7. I think there are a lot of folks that think about that long ago crush, but putting that reality in a present day, completely different set of circumstances has a lot of possibilities. It was a nice touch putting your personal inspiration in there, too. Good luck!

  8. You are so cute. Your personality really shines through in this and the book sounds like a lot of fun. I wanted to follow your blog, but I didn’t see a button, so I’m following on Twitter. πŸ˜‰ Good luck in the contest and nice to meet you!! πŸ™‚

  9. I’m sorry you didn’t make it into the agent round. I wish I had one more spot. I really like your premise and you are just too darn cute! I was vacillating between three entries for my final two, one was yours. I would have liked to have known more about this guy’s marriage. Is it a bad marriage? What will make us sympathize with this world famous star who has everything. Also, though I love knowing the inspiration for your story, it was too long, 50 seconds, which is 1/4 of the pitch. I need more about the conflict and something endearing about this guy. Keep pitching and get ready for Trick or Treat with an agent starting Oct. 24.

  10. What a fun premise! As a NKOTB fan (actually, now NKOTB-BSB fan?) from waaaaaay back, your inspiration made me really grin. πŸ™‚
